Is it body dysmorphia or is it just realism? If I was below HTN, I’d hate the way I look. That’s not body dysmorphia, because society will hate you too

Realism is the observation that looks matter a lot in life, body dysmorphia is the painful emotional reaction to it.Is it body dysmorphia or is it just realism? If I was below HTN, I’d hate the way I look. That’s not body dysmorphia, because society will hate you too
100% agreedRealism is the observation that looks matter a lot in life, body dysmorphia is the painful emotional reaction to it.
Example,Someone is invited to their friend’s party :
“Shit I’m so ugly right now” that’s the realism
The action is spending hours in the mirror analyzing your flaws, taking tons of selfies doing makeup or whatever trying to fix it
The dysmorphia mindset: “I’m so ugly if I go to that party, everyone will think I’m hideous and will be disgusted by me” he then tells his friend he couldn’t make it with an excuse.
Unrealistic I don’t get invited to partiesRealism is the observation that looks matter a lot in life, body dysmorphia is the painful emotional reaction to it.
