Hi everyone,

I’ve been reading a lot about dermaplaning and am curious about its benefits and potential risks. From what I understand, it involves gently exfoliating the skin with a blade to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz.

I have combination skin and occasionally deal with mild breakouts.

I’m wondering how often dermaplaning should be done, if it’s safe to do at home versus a professional setting, and whether it actually helps with smoother makeup application and skincare absorption.

Any personal experiences, tips, or warnings would be really appreciated!

thanks in advance for any help

The only time I'd suggest gently exfoliating your skin with a blade would be with some cream that numbs your skin and tightens your pores.

Doesn't work.
