prep for the day of:
- shave any unwanted facial hair
- brush teeth scrape tongue
- apply deoderant, lotion, fragrance (in that order)
- cleanse and moisturize face, apply toner
- (only cleanse if u have moisturizer)
- apply color corrector if u have some
- exfoliate lips with toothbrush and moisturize with vaseline
- moisturize hair
- stretch your whole body
- do facial stretches as well
- make sure to wear your cleanest best fitting clothes (prioritize the scent of the clothes over all)
- with clean underwear being the highest priority
- lintroll and possibly iron clothing
- style your hair
- shower if you have time for your hair to dry (you want your hair to look nice but if u dont have time to style your hair just decide based on when u last showered, if it was over 2 days ago then the shower should be prioritized)
- trim and file fingernails
- charge your phone
- bring sum cash if possible (u prob r gonna wanna be prepared to pay for at least your own meal or activity)
- wear or bring a jacket most of the time except for summer, so you can be ready in case your date gets cold
- (ik u may think this is a bit old fashioned but its a subtle way to show u care)
- bring an umbrella if there is risk of rain
- drink water in the morning, a liter or 2 would be best so you dont have to piss crazily but also dont get a dry mouth
prep for the day before:
- pick out your best fitting cleanest clothes, if you dont have any clean clothing than choose at least one outfit from your dirty clothes and do a load of laundry
- maybe iron and fold them out of the drier, placed on a safe space where they wont get dirty for the morning
- get a good nights sleep.
- that means, set a bedtime at least 8 hours before the time youd like to wake up, eat your last meal at least 4 hours before that time, as well as no hard exercises for those 4 hours before that time, make sure your sleep environment is clean, dark and quiet, shut off all screens one hour before that set bed time, (if u feel like fallin asleep before the bedtime thats totally fine) i reccomend putting on some pink noise when ur ready to sleep (as opposed to white or brown as it doesnt have the harsh frequences and is naturally calming)
- shower, make sure to wash ur groin underarms and feet thoroughly, lathering with soap and scrubbing with a wash cloth 3 times each
- after shower apply deoderant, followed by body powder to the underarms and groin (helps with excess sweating)
- dye your eyebrows darker,
- shave in between the brows as well as above and to the sides, to get cleaner brows
- trim the longer brow hairs, brush the hairs up and trim the hairs that stick out past the top of your brow, afterwards make sure to brush them back into the normal direction
- wash your face in the morning as well as at night, that means use a cleanser to start, pop any whiteheads, apply benzoyl peroxide to the popped whiteheads, apply a moisturizer and finally a toner to lock things in
- apply cocoa butter to the lips as a deep moisturizer
- stretch your whole body
- stretch your face too in the morning and at night
- drink water, id say 3 liters would be best to aim for
longer term prep:
- make sure you have some nice clothes that fit, get a nice go to outfit for each occasion (professional, casual, business casual, romantic)
- find out any romantic interests favorite flowers as well as birthdays early on and note it down
- flesh out what you're looking for in a relationship
- what your dealbreakers are (ie: not having a job, living with their parents, not having a college degree, having no platonic friends, holding bigoted beliefs, lack of commitment)
- what your end goal is in romantic pursuits (ie: marriage, dating, fun, sex, social company)
- look into good date spots in your area (ie: romantic lounge restaurants in my area, brunch restaurants ima, museums ima, legoland ima, parks ima (good for picnics))
- id reccomend compiling them into lists on google maps as it offers an easy way to store them, categorize them, view them, share them, and calculate routes between them
- try to set a bed time u can stick to consistently, utilizing the routine from above,
- a consistent bedtime is the first step towards good sleep
- id reccomend seting yourself alarms for when you're set to eat your last meal and turn off your devices
- good sleep helps with cognitive functioning, neurotic tendencies, depressive symptoms, and physical fatigue
- stretch daily
- this helps with tensions in the body, which show themselves in irregular posture
- u wanna be loose and relaxed for possible cuddling as there are often irregular positions u may need to stay in for extended periods of time
- my reccomendation would be to try to spend 5-15 minutes in the mornign each day stretching when u first wakeup
- for the facial stretching i referred to, see
- figure out what to do with your hair
- figure out what styles compliment your face shape
- experiment wth different products and routines
- u could try experimenting with different colors if ur into that
- prepare a picnic basket for picnic dates
- large quilt, candles possbly, etc
