A lot of times I’ve gotten those messages and still ignored them but I find that if you do try to reconnect and apologize it’s just never the same after

I really don't feel that. For me it is that I just see the connection for what it really is. We play some game, and we share a long history together; nothing more than that. Then I start to feel less connected, I just don't see a reason to keep it going.

So for me it's not really what others now about me (not driven by avoidant attachment style). It's more that I just don't see the value in them, I guess.
