they lack critical thinking skills and each time they speak to me i internally roll my eyes

my mom's a hs dropout, never even got her ged. She's very very street smart though

my dad has like 2 degrees and is book smart, but never had any motivation to do anything with them

my parents r both engineers and my father has a masters, but i guess they are smart in their fields? literally in every other aspect in life they are just stupid

my dad lost his tech job in the dot com bubble burst. Instead of trying to find another one after, he started a business. That only worked for awhile and then it eventually went under. Since then he's just been working labor/service jobs lol

my mom was making 6 figs comp for a while in sales, but at the time wasn't smart enough to move into corporate. So eventually she aged out of sales and was also forced into service jobs

one of my parents is an iqlet, cant even do basic math, and makes fucking terrible financial decisions.
and the other has 3 fucking degrees, was the head state architect of my state for 10 years, has a genuine iq of 134, and graduated high school at 15

nah mine is an eqlet. My grandpa (her dad) was such a bad person. Like he did good but he was so rude and judge mental. If you showed him anything he would just say it wouldnt win any awards and he also called her ugly all the time.

It’s not her fault shes that way but I hate that his influence still lingers and transfers to me as a result
