Does forearm hypertrophy training actually work?

Throughout my 4 year gym experience, I've heard some things like "calves size are genetics", same for forearms.

Do you guys that's somehow true? Because today the only thing that pisses me off about my body is my forearms, they just aren't big... And I mentioned the calves thing cuz my calves are big asf and I simply don't work them out, reforcing these statements.

I'm starting a training protocol that trains them 3x a week using wrist and finger curls, wrist extensions and hammer curls. About 12 hard sets for each (flexors, extensors and brachiorradialis)

Any tips are welcomed.

just do wrist curls like how you would concentrated curls that helped me a ton i do like 3-4x12-15
 
not true they're just hard to grow
try cable wrist curls theyre usually the only thing i do for forearms n they work well
