Discussion does unconditional love exist

id murder someone for 20 bucks and a gta shark card

i think it does through family because my mom would probably murder someone for me

i'd murder someone for her

i love her

but through strangers is debatable
All love is conditional. "Unconditional" love is just what we call conditional love that's too minor to be mentioned

you can be hyper materialistic and say something like their mere existence is a conditional, but it mostly boils down to the type of person they are, what they look like, where they are etc etc

Yes. God.

Yes. God.
he literally sends you to eternal damnation if you dont believe in him

thats not loving at all

abnd dont try to say no bs about like "you're just choosing to be seperate from him and that's true love because you have choice"

because that's just an illusion of choice, the extra option is just there so he can say its real love when in reality its just one big blackmail

i halfway agree

i think unconditional love is too rare and you're saying it doesn't exist because the major percentage of the world has never seen it

if we give unconditional love (ironically) the condition of being human/having the cognitive ability to experience and give love, then it will exist

what would you say about the relationship between a homeless man and his dog?

is that not unconditional love?

It does exist, but it's just statistically irreverent. It's like saying "Well you can survive going 120 MPH while you're drunk-driving", like sure, people have done that & lived, but if 99% of people die doing it, why even talk about the 1%? In other words; it's the perception of their given/received unconditional love that inflates the true number - and that true number being so minuscule, it's hardly worth mentioning. Us humans evolved for survival, weighing the pros/cons of a situation is just our nature, and once those cons pile up, the illusion of unconditional love fades.

Say the dog bites the head off his child, will he still then love it? Of-course not; it's the condition of the dogs behavior that warrants love; not the dog itself

The world, it's entities, us humans, our identities etc all are conditional. Love is a part of your body (actually a feedback loop) so it is obviously conditioal.

He created you,he owns you.
You don't get to question an almighty all powerful all knowing entity who knows the best for you and humanity.

You don't give up your critical thinking, you actually use it.
Who knows better, an entity who knows everything and is the most intelligent thing ever to exist or you

And it isn't just for nothing, you get heaven as a final reward, which is literal eternal rewards and pleasure.

getting my ability to question revoked is literally giving up my critical thinking

probably the entity but that doesn't confirm its existence in the slightest
And it isn't just for nothing, you get heaven as a final reward, which is literal eternal rewards and pleasure.
eternal pleasure sounds dystopian
