It's a process of letting time pass. If you found someone who loved you and it wasn't pure sex, while rare, you can find that again. Learn to be alone for a little while. You're not going to be happy in reuniting with him unless he sees a problem, sees that he needs to change. But change is the hardest thing for a person to do.

The second option is reuniting and waiting till it hurts enough. It's not healthy, you should go ZERO contacts with him, do not text him, at all. It's time to block him. Go no contact

He wouldn't be an asshole if he truly loved you. You just have bonded over traumas due to your own mental and physical problems. It's lowkey stockholm syndrome.

Also don't talk nor entertain other men during your healing process, they just gonna use your body, even you're freaky don't do it you'll just stock-up traumas and never heal.
