Both : don’t fix the bite, “camoflague” bite problems according to Mike Mew
both practically permenant, genio will have less problems long term
Genio: better long term, but more invasive and rougher recovery. But it is prob more effective, changing your own bone
Chin implants: safer (but they’re both pretty tbqh) can be more flexible with shaping, easier recovery
 
So what do you expect us to do now? Lecture/advise you on something or simply read and understand what you've posted?

I wish someone would put together a big resource with doctors' reputations, before and after pics of each procedure, etc.

When I am doing research, it's hard to know how much an individual doctor is frauding their results. I think I read somewhere that Eppley does 100+ face procedures a year, and barely posts any pictures of them. Very suspicious.

Eppley sucks. I shadow a plastic surgeon and apparently he is looked down on in the field. Possibly the least ethical plastic surgeon in the country, but he will practically do ANY implant procedure regardless of how extreme it is. That’s why he has so many clients.

It is extreme, but it is not inhuman-looking the way many soft tissue procedures are. If I saw this guy on the street, my first impression would not be "this is certainly a plastic surgery freak."

I was actually looking at this guys more recent pics post swelling and it actually looks good, same with this other guy, I'll see if I can find pics but he legit went from "recessed jaw, needs surgery" to chad with just a jaw implant and if he'd ever posted here or on lookism everyone would have told him he needed a jaw surgery.

Looks better than before imo, still the other guy who got a more sensible implant looks really good and like I said he went from recessed jaw "needs surgery to correct" tier to looking really good.

The first guy would look better if he got a less absurd implant, its less a statement on how well implants work in general and more a statement on the fact that his particular implant is just too big.

Better than before doesn’t take much for some people. Implants are great if you have the base for it, but if people get jaw implants without dealing with malocclusion first they’re probably going to look out of place. Most people looking for jaw implants are probably recessed and go straight for the implant.

Need a better pic than what you have up. From what I’ve seen, yea you look a bit recessed. If you send a picture where your head isn’t tilted up or down I could give you a much better idea

I feel like my skull looks a bit small too, hopefully hgh could fix that, if I ever go bald I'll add skull implants to the list lmao.

Your maxilla is alright, but you’d benefit from a more projected chin. I dont know what your BF% is, but your lower third doesn’t have much definition and your ramus is short. If there’s anything you’re looking to improve, focus on your jaw/chin first

should I be thinking implants or actual structure changing surgeries

there are things that are easier to achieve when you have a functional problem or are ugly as hell (although the two are related)
 
Genio is OP since new bone has the potenial to grow between incisions.
