Genuine question is this pedophilia

It's not "pedophilia" and I'm not sure I would say it's morally wrong per se.

The reason why people feel weird about 18+ year olds dating someone 2+ years younger than them is because we've socially established that is the "adult" (or age of majority I guess) age. People make the argument that your brain doesn't just turn into an adult at 18, and obviously they're both teens, but the reason why someone might feel weird about it is because the person is aware they're out of that age group (they're now an "adult" and not "teen") and still choose to date below their age "group".

It's not really a big deal though. I don't think anyone actually really cares that strongly about that gap and I don't think anyone in real life would say something about it.

Good take. What about 15

I think 15 is probably too young for an 18 year old. Even in countries where it would be allowed, it's just too developmentally different in my opinion.

It's not that 15 is dramatically different from 16 year olds, but it's rather the mild change from 15 -> 16 creates the gap between 15 -> 18 too far from what I would've assume is comfortable.

Thanks, I just wanna know how low I can go before getting publically shamed.

BUMP i need some answers here guys

Is it okay for an 18.5 year old to edate a 16 year old
"edate" :pepehands: , im more dissapointed cause the edate bro, and yeah its bad

did they just turn 16 tho? if like they're turning 17 in a few months then its alright i guess
nah, This is wrong, since they are teenagers, and in adolescence two years is a long time, you don't think the same at 17 as you do at 16, the same with 18.5 and 16 hahaha

If you look at it objectively its 07 with a 09, different stages of life but could work out

yeah I had the same thing but turning 18 in ~4 years and it turned out fine, go for it
They are trying to imply that something is "wrong" with this, so i'm unsure

16 is the age of consent everywhere nobody will care

I mean it's a 2.5 years gap so nothing crazy, but it will be better when both partners are in their +20s, because a 16yo boy/girl is still immature dating wise

I'm asking about the moral part
Morals are subjective though there isn't any reason for you to feel compelled to not get with her
