Appeal is somewhat of a concept if you have a preference in which type of women or what age range you want to attract. teenage girls for example would probably react more strongly to Ty Larson than Louis allen III for example
Age range is such an important topic here, because this would certainly be the absolute reverse for women in their 30s-40s.
The problem with people saying "Appeal>PSL" is that they're mistaking SMV and facial harmony for what appeal would look like, when in truth appeal would be more adjacent to Dimorphism and facial style.
Culture is also important to consider. While all cultures have branching beauty standards, there are a lot of beauty standards that exist which are unique to a certain culture, such as ethnic features and phenotypes. This would mean that Chad Michael Murray(left) and Anton(right) would be favoured differently by a similar group of women depending on if they're white or east asian(Both would get glazed to no end, but one would get more than the other, which is my definition of appeal)
This is to say that, if two people in the same psl tier were put in a room full of women, one would be considered more attractive than the other because of style choices pertaining to the face, which I'd consider appeal
