I’m trying to bring up the muscles I actually care about. Is it worth changing my split instead of doing a classic Upper/Lower or Push/Pull/Legs routine to something like this?

  • Monday: Shoulders, followed by lower-priority muscles
  • Tuesday: Back, followed by lower-priority muscles
  • Wednesday: Chest, followed by lower-priority muscles
  • Thursday: Rest
  • Friday: Shoulders, followed by lower-priority muscles
  • Saturday: Back, followed by lower-priority muscles

Every muscle would still be trained twice per week.

Is this a good idea, or would it just hurt my recovery?

Dont really think split matters, only volume over time period, whatever helps you stay consistent
