Water but life is mostly luck

Luck decides:


genetics (intelligence,looks,health )

Luck of birth (where, when , and also who your parents are and how smart they are )

Timing ( being early to the trend ( tech , finance) can save sometimes)


Then hard work come just for some little improvement..

And the worst part is that your hard work is not even guaranteed and luck influence how hard and how much can you work by genetics .


And don’t forget that the media only show you the winners , you can’t know about the guy that hard worked more than Cristian Ronald but failed ..

Hard work doesn't change your life in any way unless academics and it barely does at that point. What would you rather be, an American chadlite who was born into a middle class family, or an Iraqi doctor? One didn't work hard for anything while the other did, take a guess at who enjoyed the better life
 
Hard work is relative. Don't make the mistake of comparing hard work to “talent” because they don't belong to the same category of properties.

“Hard work” is vague because it is often confused with a willingness to work hard, but “drive” is an important component.


Many talented/prodigious people fail; many talented/prodigious people do not have the ability to practise or sustain hard work.

Not comparing talent and hard work is not quite right , they do interact just not the same categories as

Hard work = effort. And. Talent = capacity

High talent and high effort results in exponential results
High talent without effort is just wasted talent
No talent with hard work create a really limited ceiling

Not exactly tho but you can say that to be disciplined you need to have good parents or environment that wants from you that said discipline like its not entirely genetics but everything else how your brain developed is it capable of change of being consistent etc
