has anyone else ever felt a strong connection to someone only by looking at them?

i can only name two people like that. there was just something about them that was very intriguing to me. both were a bit shy and didn't really seem to belong to the group they were in. both seemed "hyper-observant" - not to be confused with hypervigilance. i don't know why i remember them so clearly; it felt like i "understood them" without ever talking to them. or i did talk to one of them (after this felt feeling) and there was a clear connection (i maybe could have dated her, but i had to move).

and no, they weren't just "good-looking" i'd say both were average in terms of looks

yeah, it's weird

for me i think it felt like they saw the world the same way i did. [pseudorant] -> maybe it has something to do with mirror neurons and if someone is very similar they just mimic your normal state and you feel more connected.

but i don't know

Unhealthy, most of the time it's a fantasy drawn out in your mind but there's a possibility once you get to know them it's just not what you expected.
