So long story short, I went to Istanbul and had jaw implants done. Due to the absolute negligence of the surgeon, he detached my jaw muscle from the bottom of my jaw. Now my jaw muscle sits in a mass toward the middle of my cheek. I now need to have the implants removed and the jaw muscle re-attached to the bottom of my jawline. The complication is coined as "masseter dehiscence" or "masseter disinsertion"

I have been trying to find a surgeon that can repair this for 2 years. Basically a risdon incision would need to be made below the jaw muscle and the muscle would need to be re- anchored after the implant has been removed.

The search for a surgeon has not been fun. I have now paid for several consultations and have had no luck with finding a surgeon that I felt was confident in this procedure.

Has anyone else had this issue and have had any success finding a surgeon to repair it?

Some surgeons that I know have experience with it are Dr. Eppley and Dr. Yaremchuk. I am not comfortable with Dr. Eppley because on his website he talks about the success rate of this surgery being low, and I've seen a lot of negative reviews. Dr. Yaremchuk is no longer practicing. I'm kind of out of options at this point and I'm pretty desperate.

If anyone has any information or experience with this complication please comment or message me because I have been trying to fix this for 2 years. There is barely any information or cases about it online.
