The period when testosterone and growth hormone are most effective is the best time for these devices to shape bone structure

using headgear w/ a Herbst appliance can work if ur still growing (headgear restrains upper jaw growth, and herbst pushes lower jaw forward) but it's not guaranteed. combined, it could theoretically balance the bite, but if ur growth is mostly done, waiting for hgh might be more effective than combining both.

As it says in the image you posted, this 30% bone lengthening is only possible during a growth spurt. Therefore going through this period, when hormone levels are at their highest, without the device means completely wasting the opportunity for bone lengthening. Our goal isn't to achieve 100% bone lengthening, but to capture that 30% skeletal forward growth allowed by genetic potential. If you don't wear the device that 30% won't happen you'll only be moving your teeth

fair point

I'm just against the idea of kids doing HGH and testosterone with a herbst thinking it will help

if anything it could lead to uncontrollable growth - the body doesn't have a natural blueprint for a chad jaw it's all genetics

I am against it too, I agree with you on this matter

The headgear won’t really do much, herbst appliances are good though.
