Hi, could someone please help me with a question about Mewing?

VI saw a YouTube video where a dentist was talking about mewing and its side effects. In short, he said that mewing causes the tongue to swell, which can lead to problems while sleeping sleep apnea, could someone please tell me if that's real and what the actual side effects are?

The only side effect I had is exessive drooling but only when i was new to it. I dont think it causes the tounge to swell whatsoever?? Make sure your tounge is in the correct posture (check the guide) and I've never had trouble sleeping with mewing. Chances are you'll be fine. My friend has a narrow palate and when she tried it, it hurt a bit for her and I believe she had some swelling. But yeah, thats all I know.

El único efecto secundario que tuve fue babeo excesivo, pero solo cuando era nuevo en esto. No creo que cause hinchazón en la lengua.
