People on the /r/Accutane subreddit were talking about paying $2,000 USD in total for treatment without insurance in the US. It seemed pretty accurate based off of personal experience with getting other treatments done without insurance, but I thought I'd ask here as well.


If you used insurance, you should still let me know what your total cost was. I'm curious in general. If you don't know the total cost and only know the prescription price I'd still like to know as well.

yeah it was this! i only took 5 or 10 mg tho, bc the dry skin is terrible for makeup

Here with with the french free healthcare, accutane is free but need to be prescribed by a dermatologist & your regular doctor

Same here in the UK, but they almost never prescribe it anyway and getting past an NHS waiting list is a challenge in itself. They just prescribe trannies exogenous E and make you wait 2 years for an appointment with dermatology, filthy bastards.

I’m on an insanely good insurance right now so mine was all covered. But in order to be on the insurance you’ve got to have a lot of bad circumstances. So overall I’d assume it’s around $1k a month with the appointments you have to maintain
