never pop acne in the first place
put a pimple patch over it
let it pop on its own after a hot shower

to reduce appearance retinol serum + microneedling
Yesyes ofc but it's js that I still do have acne marks from when I didn't know I wasn't supposed to pop it

Like after it's popped it remains a dark spot or red yeah what to do about that, I'm 15 btw
You should never squeeze your pimples and you must use sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun, which can trigger the formation of blemishes additionally, you can use vitamin c and vitamin B3

Tret everything else is cope please don't waste your time
Tret are heavy ingredients and their uncontrolled use can leave permanent damage on the skin of a 15 yo trying to buy time by disrupting the skin barrier will only prolong the process. The safest approach is to get approval from a dermatologist

It's a slightly stronger version of retinol. It causes very severe peeling and sensitivity in the fresh skin of a 15 yo

bakuchiol
Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's harmless there's always a risk of allergic reactions, especially on young skin

chemical peel
Failure to regulate acid balance leads to chemical burns

Instead of seeking advice from a forum, why not consult a dermatologist? It would be best to make an appointment with a specialist before using your own skin as a testing ground

Not enough money to go to a dermatologist

Plus I genuinely thought that retinol was stronger than retinal

OTC version is retinol (weaker form of Tret) and also not mentionned enough, you apply retinol before bed and the next morning you apply sunscreen even if we're in winter even if you're under synthetic light 24/7, or the dark spots can increase.

Vit-A topical derivatives increases skin sensitivity to any type of light

Hm but isn't like retinal or bakuchiol better 🤔, if not then maybe I can js do a chemical peel
Not in your case it's just acne marks, it shouldn't be applied on fresh acne spot anyways.

Bakuchiol is in theory weaker than retinol but it's fairly new topical so i wouldn't recommend it as we don't know real long term results

Retinal (or Retin-A) is the best absorbed retinoid form by the skin but it's used for age rejuvenation, not for acne spots of a young girl.

Stick to OTC retinol, you prob don't need Adapalene nor Tretinoin rn

I understand you, even the cheapest sunscreen you have is more effective than the most expensive spot treatment. Preventing a spot from darkening is easier than trying to get rid of it

So I should get like a retinol serum or something like that🤔 well what would you raccomend (whoops meant to quote you too mb @TonyDr )

Even over the counter retinols should be used cautiously on the skin of a 15 yo If you choose this path, as the moderator warned, you should never neglect sunscreen and should start with the lowest concentrations to avoid irritating your skin. However, if possible, going through this process under the supervision of a dermatologist will be the most reliable way to protect your skin's future

If possible, dermatology departments in state hospitals offer services free of charge or with a very small fee for this age group. If you try to make an appointment, you can at least access prescription creams from a specialist at affordable prices. Don't incur greater expenses by performing harsh procedures on your skin without the means those marks will fade over time and with sun protection

Niacinamide effective in lightening blemishes, does not irritate the skin, and strengthens its barrier

Azelaic acid a much safer ingredient than retinol, and one that dermatologists most often recommend to young people for acne scars

Cica (centella) creams best for repairing that fresh redness after popping a pimple

Whichever product you choose, test it on a small area behind your ear or on your neck before applying it to your entire face. If there is no redness or itching within 24 hours, you can apply it to your whole face
