I've noticed a lot of users expressed their personal struggles to socialize with their peers. I was like that too a few years ago. Here's some tips that may help users.

- Practice talking in front of a mirror, this way you can notice what's your body behavior when you're interacting with people and correct it ( For exemple : hide your nervosity if you're the type to shake your leg or to play with their hands a bit too much during a conversation).

- Improve your speech flow, nervous people tend to accelerate their speech which may make what they're saying hard to understand. Also learn to limit your usage of filler words ( "um", "huh", "like", "y'know").

- Try engaging conversations with classmates. Considering a good majority of users here are still going to school, "Arent you in my _____ class ?" is a good conversation starter to get things going. If no one comes to you, you can always come to your classmates and try to talk with them during breaks.

- Have an interesting hobby.
Nobody wants to talk with someone bland and uninteresting that seems to stare at walls for a past time. Since you can't tell people you rot on looksmaxxing forums all day, good hobbies to connect with people can be music, climbing, going to the same gym, sports or fashion. Try to bring it smoothly into a conversation by asking them if they share the same hobby.

- Add people on your socials.
Teens most often times use IG or Snapchat. I would recommend getting IG, haven't downloaded Snapchat personally. This way even when you're at home you can still interact with them. You can ask them for their socials at the end of a conversation to show you're interested at having further conversations.

Conversations are generally natural and spontaneous. All you really need is just to be yourself and share a bit of who you are as a human being.

I ain't no NT Emperor, I myself was diagnosed autistic. I however improved my social skills drastically since I first started HS. Hope this helps an user or two.

I do, but in next time I will first try to work on my mental health
I know that I won't find the energy to get out off bed to go climbing.
I'll get my mental health done and after that I will try to find something
Thank you so much

It's 4 AM for me, I gotta be home alone to VC and when I am home alone I'd rather play with my instruments.

this is just masking under a different label like a cure.

“just do X and Y and you will no longer be socially inept”

masking can be unbearable, as an neurodivergent person i hope you have enough sentience to understand my criticism and know how hard it is.

This isn't a guide on how to mask who you are, It's just advices on how to be more approachable and extend your social circle, not that deep

"Masking" and it's just talking to people. I am ND as fuck and I don't hide it
how are you a person on the spectrum who does not understand another persons struggle on the spectrum what. autism is an actual mental disability to the point where even talking to people can lead to shut down, what the fuck is your logic.

Well explain it bud, you can be authentic and socialize with people just saying "muh masking" isn't enough
with if your around people you cant be authentic around?? at school sometimes people are judgey

Find some people to be authentic around and don't care about judgement

Not all autistic people have this problem, and it's not all people who have this problem who are ND.

Historytelling would be a great topic in conversations, only if you dont quote weeb media (Im not talking about me btw) i actually read tons of bs about social power and "make friends" theory, there are some core skills you need to practice:

- Listening skills
- Speaking skills
- Grammar, logic and rethoric (trust me bro)
- Hobbie books theory (Yes, if you want to become a better literature guy read the mf book about "How to read a book")
- Short conversations skills
- Long conversations skills (irl and social media)

- Awareness (Try to "listen to yourself" when you are speaking, so the "mask" dont fall off your face, it helps to record your voice)

Plus, positive desintegration is actually a worth reading book, (think fast, think slow too) There are a lot of literature and videos about this topic but be carefull with this kind of media, fonetics are also a thing, your tone of voice and body structure can actually change your voice (read something about this when i was studying voicemaxxing)
