half of these replies are bullshitting you.  it depends on what point youβre at, are you trying to start or are you mid way through?
if youβre trying to start, it takes pure willpower and luck.  it took me over a year to beat binge eating, and it happened because my sister was in the kitchen and i felt like she would think iβm fat if i binged on oreos at 12 am.  you just need to build momentum and after a couple of weeks of dieting, you wonβt look back
if youβre mid way through, eat everything in sight for a week.  you wonβt gain fat, i promise you.  itβll just be water and then you can continue your deficit.  stay at 400-600 range, ideally 600
