a reason some people provide is bc doing all that and thinking about it early on when you barely know the person can be a lot so people just date to date, take things day by day and if there’s a spark then they date for longer term things, like marriage

tbf yeah, religion was intially what held up marriages in the first place, and it was heavily frowned upon (and even prohibited in religions like christianity) to divorce.


With religion no longer as common, (and a lot of christians in the west straight up ignoring the no divorce rule) marriage is more risky

You can name infinite reasons to live that are neither materialistic, nor relationship oriented. What if I just want to dedicate my life to playing ping pong and coping with the boyos like saint hamudi? Who's to say I'm wrong in that

play sports, watch tv, hang out with friends, eat food, exercice, etc


of course marriage adds value to life, but dont act like life is worthless without it. If you feel that way, your life probably sucks aside from your relationship
