idk what that means good luckim considering hopping on mono ans chemically inducing more instead of hoping more melanin is produced but idk
why not try ruxolitinib especially if you only have it in certain areas to spot treat, they wont skin bleach you unless you have 80% coverage which im assuming isnt the case. The melanin can come back you just have to be really good about reversing it@glamora thoughts
i csn chemically induce more vitiligo but im not sure if i shouldwhy not try ruxolitinib especially if you only have it in certain areas to spot treat, they wont skin bleach you unless you have 80% coverage which im assuming isnt the case. why would you even do that? even if it makes you "whiter" youll look like a complete idiot because theres zero melanin. Not to mention i get sunburned myself pretty badly and my slight patches with vitiligo get 10x that and hurt sm. now imagine that on your entire face. Being whiter might sound good in theory for you i guess but at the end of the day vitiligo is an autoimmune disease its not a means of bleaching your skin. I might be bias because my patches thankfully dont show much but this is just my personal opinioni csn chemically induce more vitiligo but im not sure if i should
better contrast for mewhy would you even do that? even if it makes you "whiter" youll look like a complete idiot because theres zero melanin. do your research on it dont take my word for it, if you believe that its good in your scenario then do that. At the end of the day its case-dependent and we're 2 different people trying to achieve different goals. ive been down the whole vitiligo rabbit-hole before and there's just too many side effects with mono and its really only worth it if youre darker skinned and it shows alot or if youre 80% affected. which doesnt really line up w my scenerio. do your patches show much and where are they if u dont mind me asking?better contrast for me
but yeah youre right
thighs and one very small in armdo your research on it dont take my word for it, if you believe that its good in your scenario then do that. at least you wont have that problem anymoreindian
heres basically what i did when i was actively trying to remove ityeah i can see tje patch looks too light
yeah tell me what tips
Okay thanks alotheres basically what i did when i was actively trying to remove it
- 15 mins daily sun exposure to the affected areas
- Opzelura (ruxolitinib) 1.5% 2x a day - this is the best on the market for bringing back pigmentation but it might be hard to get bc u have to get it prescribed and its a fairly new medication
-Ginko Biloba- 2 pills a day
- make sure all your iron levels, vitamins, etc are all up to par because vitiligo again, its an autoimmune disease and usually a gut issue so its basically your melanin cells fighting eachother
- Stress is also a big factor in vitiligo spreading, i noticed when i was stressed abt school, sports, etc, it would spread rapidly
thats basically what mono does its stress-inducing so thats how it cause it to spread
- Again, the areas get really sunburnt so WEAR sunscreen and repeated stress and irritation to the skin causes it to spread, for me since its right under my eyebrows i wasnt allowed to pluck them or remove any hairs to further prevent irritation
To cover it you can always use self tanner or just find an exact concealer shade. im not too well versed on that however since i only really covered it when i first got it and in the summer when i was a bit tanner. now not so much since thankfully its in a convenient spot and doesnt show much but its up to you if you want to "embrace" it or just cover it.
sorry this is a brick wall of text but its very helpful imo and things i wish someone told me sooner if u have any other questions lmk
i wish all the best for you brotheri see my vitiligo spread more ngl
