So what are nootropics you may be asking?
These are known as smart drugs so chemical substances that purportedly improve cognitive functions, such as attention, memory, wakefulness, and self-control
I'm sure we have all seen the tiktok slop videos of n*****s claim that taking semax and selank and thinking they will become a genius
This is simply not the case
There are so many better nootropics which clear these two for stimulation or cognitive enhancement
Nootropics as of 2020 are only in the preliminary stages of research so the full side effects are not fully known and not everyone wants to be injecting pig brain into themselves
The common known side effects are:
Addiction
Anxiety
Cardiovascular problems also commonly arise
Now I'm not fear mongering as I believe some nootropics are amazing with my personal favourites being noopept, modafinil and Adderall IR
These are great however they may be difficult to come by since they either require prescriptions or come from the slums of Russia since only the Ussr would be so brave as to experiment
Now I will be giving you guys some easier to access counterparts which are less effective than stated above but will still give u a competitive edge over normies
I advise all to use this whether you are in school/university or graduated and now are in full time employment
We know the iqpill is brutal and the life opportunities opened up by intellect is unmatched
Honourable mention - DMAA
This is a stimulant that is often found in the extreme preworkouts
This can be very helpful to you if you have tedious tasks to carry out during the day such as filling documents or homework tasks that don't require a lot of thinking but are just long in duration
The positives are:
Boost in cognitive function
Boost in focus
Boost in energy
Fat burning and muscle building properties
However it can be dangerous if overused:
Its a vasoconstrictor meaning it shrinks your blood vessels meaning blood pressure rises
Strokes are common
Causes a variety of heart problems
Nausea and headaches are also common
https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-1258/1-3-dmaa#sideeffects
Additionally its borderline "natty" for a couple reasons
1. It was recently banned in America by the FDA
2. It can cause false positives in drug tests since due to its amphetamine like nature it cross reacts
So if you are an athlete i recommend using the following websites - these will help u find a safe brand
globaldro.com
sport.wetestyoutrust.com
Conclusion
Its great for energy and safe as long as you get a good source and not have it mixed with other stimulants since that is where the majority of heart problems occur
Additionally only use this if you are at least 17 years old since the high blood pressure will be additionally detrimental at younger ages
Number 3 - Caffeine/theacrine
Now ik many of u may already be taking caffeine but u should be taking more
It blocks adenosine in the brain which are the transmitters that make u feel tired
It will improve alertness, reaction time and drive through increased dopamine signaling
Additionally the source you are getting caffeine from is also important
You should stick to natural sources such as teas and coffees and if u must caffeine pills are also fine
Energy drinks should be avoided at all costs
Caging at all retards who still drink them
Positives:
Increased energy
Fast and noticeable effect
Possible short term memory support
Mood enhancements
Caffeine is very easy to acquire
Negatives
sleep deprivation
Anxiety
Caffeine can also cause dependency
Now this is where theacrine comes in
Theacrine is similar to caffeine both natural stimulants
Positives of theacrine
Can't develop any tolerance to theacrine like you can to caffeine
Longer effects than caffeine
Possible milder effect on sleep prevention
No jitters as some experience on caffeine
Negatives
Slower onset
Less studies than caffeine
Conclusion
Although i would recommend theacrine over caffeine since you don't develop a frequency to it caffeine cant still be taken due to its higher availability
Take it before you start the task or for when you need the most drive however if taking theacrine then you may need to take it earlier than caffeine
Don't take it past the afternoon since this will cause sleep problems
Number 2 - Citicoline (CDP-choline)
This supports brain function through helping your body produce acetylcholine which is a neurotransmitter involved in memory, learning and attention
When you take it your body breaks it into two parts
Choline-directly produces acetylcholine
Cytidine-gets converted into uridine which supports brain cell membranes
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/239103/
Positives
Supports memory, focus and mental energy
Increases dopamine receptor density over time
Negatives
Side effects are uncommon but may include headaches and insomnia
Conclusion
It is best to take it in the morning as it helps with concentration of tasks throughout the day
Number 1 - Agmatine Sulphate
Agmatine is naturally produced in our bodies and agmatine sulphate is the supplement form of this
It acts as a neuromodulator affecting how nerve cells communicate
It interacts with several systems such as
NMDA receptors - involved in learning, memory and nerve signalling
Neurotransmitters - affects mood
Nitric Oxide system - affecting blood flow
Positives
Improves mood, motivation and stim response
Reduces tolerance of buildup of stims
Protects neurons from stress as well as damage
Improved learning and memory
Lowers social inhibition
Negatives
Doesn't give a direct iq boost like some claim
Doesn't overnight rewire the brain
Can be dangerous if you have pre-existing blood pressure issues
So yh, these will give you a competitive edge whether for studying of working helping you get further in life
However the real deal are stronger nootropics
Let me know if u want another guide on less powerful natty nootropics or if i should make a guide to the stronger nootropics
