Is it actually possible for it to “be over"?

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE TERM

The phrase "it's over” originates from incel/blackpill/looksmaxxing culture; it is often used to tell someone that there is nothing they can do about their looks because of genetic failure.

EARLY ORIGINS

The term was originally used in early looksmaxxing/incel forums such as 4chan, PUAHate, etc. It was later used in other incel/looksmaxxing forums such as looksmaxxing.com or incels.me. It was then adopted by the broad incelsphere (Reddit, small forums, etc.) and has very recently reached mainstream social media, such as TikTok. ⬇

  • 2017-early 2020s: broad incelsphere
  • 2022+: mainstream social media/TikTok memes

WHAT THE SCIENCE SAYS

The answer to this is more complicated than a yes or no question, so I'll do my best to break it down.

Genetics and physical traits

Many physical traits, such as coloring, hairline, height, facial harmony, etc., are largely influenced by genetics; these are the main parts of attraction, as they determine whether your genes are ideal or not.

However, other traits, such as your muscle mass or skin texture, can be improved, although this only improves your overall attractiveness to a limit.

So, while you can always improve your looks, this only goes to a limit: your genes, and improvement beyond that requires surgery or drugs, such as testosterone or HGH (Human Growth Hormone). Also, the main factors of attractiveness are all genetic; although she might not notice it, a female will always notice your maxillary projection before your skin texture when seeing you for the first time.

Other factors of attractiveness

Apart from physical traits, there are other factors that decide whether a girl likes you or not; these include status, money, style, etc. Yes, the main factor is looks, but if you're a billionaire, you'll pull even if you are unattractive to some extent. (Although it might require attractiveness to be a millionaire in the first place unless you're a fucking genius.)

CONCLUSION

While it can be over in dating, life is never over while you're still alive. Looks might set you back, but what matters is that you keep going. Never stop. One day, even with surgery or while still being subhuman, you will reach one of your goals, even if that goal was to step outside for a few minutes.
