Yeah, sounds better suited for the statement. I was thinking of 'yas' and shit.Colloquialism is not incorrect, but what word I feel like fits this phenomenon best would be 'sociolinguistics'. Colloquialism is more like 'gonna' or 'finna' instead of 'going to', 'y'all' instead of 'you all', and so on. There's not that much study in regards of internet/online communication differences due to gender, so I feel like you can make the argument it should have it's own category (in general) in linguistics, but until then I would say it fits the sociolinguistics category.
