modified lefort 3 is basically lefort 3 minus the lefort 1 area
bsso and ivro :

these are the basic cuts. you can just cut the maxilla or mandibular or do both at the same time (double jaw surgery).
since a maxilla or mandible can be recessed despite having a fine bite you can get jaw surgery with a fine bite (even though it might be necessary to "create" an over/bite before surgery in some cases through distraction or implants).
you can move the jaw forward, backward and you can even rotate (clockwise or counterclockwise) them

basically:
clockwise rotation = occlusal plane (angle) becomes higher (more vertical)
counter clockwise rotation = occlusal plane (angle) becomes lower (more horizontal)
zygomatic sandwich osteotomy:
(big difference to a modified lefort 3 - cant make your zygos more project since it only moves the bone more to the "side")
