Like everyone else on this forum, people are trying to improve their looks but most people forget that their well being also contributes to improving your looks. I've seen many many threads discussing this but I wanted to share my opinion too + give advice on how to better yourself. Just because you have a sharp jawline and you're "better looking" than most of the people around you doesn't automatically mean you've finished looksmaxxing. What do I mean by this? Well if you really want to be confident and genuinely feel good about yourself you HAVE to work on your mental state. Being a htn/htb isn't going to make your problems go away, eventually you're going to grow more insecure due to the fact there's always this part of you that's missing.

How to cope with this
Acknowledge your mistakes, insecurities, etc etc
The key factor of getting better is knowing what you want to work on and realizing what you're doing with yourself isn't helping you at ALL. Basically what I'm trying to say is find a goal so you know where to start.

Okay now you've found a goal, it's time to actually put work into it 🤔
I will put this in bulletins so you don't have to do a shit ton of reading but I will explain some of them

- Start off slow, don't overthink it. Don't push yourself just take it easy, okay? When maintaining motivation to meet a goal starting off with baby steps is the best way to go
- Alright taking it slow is fine but don't use that as an excuse to be lazy
- Set reminders, as someone who gets distracted and loses track on stuff having a reminder helps you lock in and focus
- speaking of distractions, eliminate ALLL distractions/unhealthy habits. this is pretty self explanatory (I might make a thread abt this too)

How to find motivation
- this doesn't apply to everyone but look at people you admire (influencers, people irl etc etc) obviously don't copy their exact lifestyle bc that isn't realistic use that as an example to picture what you want to become
- instead of bedrotting PHYSICALLY force yourself to get up, okay this is kinda corny but give yourself a pep talk (out loud or in your head) so you can get out of bed and friggen do something
- Look at old pictures of, old journal entries, or anything relating to the "old version" of you. that's not the person you wanna be anymore right?

Basic methods
- therapy helped me a little, but if it's something you think is going to help go for it ! telling a stranger about how you feel sucks at first but you'll get used to it
- journaling, this can be on a notes app or paper. this is water but bottling up everything you're feeling will lead to shit then BOOM you're back at square one (relapses etc etc)
- walks or any form of exercise. sports helps but for people who aren't into that stuff at home workouts are good too! Sorry for bringing myself up again but wrestling helped me take anger out on people legally plus I got muscles from it 👀 👀
- getting back into old hobbies/finding new ones. this boosts your mood since you're doing something you like
- MUSIC MUSIC AND MUSIC making playlists or finding playlists that match your mood helps so friggen much trust me on this. Finding lyrics in songs that describe your situation is comforting BUT don't use this to soak in your depression, just use it to boost your mood and confidence

That's all I have for now, remember getting better isn't magically going to happen in a few weeks or days. It seems like a long process but it'll be worth it ❤️

hope this helps, if you have any questions pm me or just ask me in the comments ^^
once you get your life together you're gonna be attractive physically and mentally (I could make a thread about confidence if you guys want)
everyone says this shit but things DO get better, you have to find a way to make it better tho
I'm always here to talk so if I didn't mention something important plsplspls let me know so ik what to add next time

you got this guys 🥺
