y'all im not even kidding I've been using 5% minoxidil on my brows since may and on my eyelashes since august and the results are insane
I never wanted to use a lash serum since it can cause orbital fat loss and discoloration, + there are other risks
so I did a quick little research and found out, that minoxidil works completely differently from prostaglandin analogues, because it essentially increases blood flow to wake up follicles, thats why it doesn't cause discoloration, since it doesn't mess with your melanin production.
I put a before and after photo, the before was mid April when I was literally using nothing, took no supplements, so just my natural brows and lashes.
and the after was taken yesterday. THE DIFFERENCE?!?! I didn't even notice how much darker my brows and lashes got until I checked! I believe I was even wearing a thin coat of mascara and/or brow gel in the first photo, so its even more insane
What I've noticed is that the biggest misconception for minoxidil is people thinking they're gonna go blind if they put it near their eyes, BUT:
IF YOU'RE CAREFUL, YOU'RE GONNA BE FINE!!! (I'm not a professional don't sue me if you go blind please)
I really recommend using a small spoolie or even better, if you happen to have an empty lash serum just laying around: clean it, and use the thin brush from the lash serum to apply A THIN LAYER of minoxidil JUST on your lash line. Let it dry for 5 minutes and you're good to go. Ive been doing this for more than 2 months now and haven't had a single vision problem.
obviously I know that topical minoxidil doesn't work the same way on everyone, but if you haven't tried it, I'd definitely give it a shot! Thanks for reading!!
