mirror vs photos

can someone explain if mirrors or photos are more accurate?
i look at my friends in the mirror and they look exactly how i see them, and i look the same as i do in selfies and in mirror pics BUT if someone takes a photo of me or a video of me and even my own passport photo i don’t look like how i do in the mirror ?

Unless your phones crazy new there both inaccurate mirror flips the image and always puts you in the perfect angle while a phone distorts your face in different ways depending on the camera front or back i prefer my phone because i can at least invert the images

i’m going to buy smth called a “real mirror” apparently it shows exactly how u look like to others because honestly everytime someone takes a photo of me i feel insane

The image being inverted makes 0 difference to your appearance

It only looks weird to you because you’re used to seeing it the other way

the mirror reflects the light so it’s more accurate
The cameras are catching the light and converting it into an image and the product depends highly on the camera quality and how the camera is settled

no but genuinely my face looks more narrow and long when someone takes a photo of me but in selfies and in the mirror my face is wide

Yes but for that specific frame of that specific moment it does look like you bad or good your not always going to be at a perfect angle for everyone so everyone but you has seen every angle of you.

but for me it’s mainly about things like head shape like my face gets longer when people take photos of me but it’s WIDE when i’m looking in the mirror and in selfies and mirror pics it’s also wide just when people take photos of me it becomes longer
