A really good trait can be a global halo; it's true. We need a better theory of how these factors actually contribute to the perception of looks. I do believe there are objective factors but ultimately what matters is the perception. Notice how youth is such a halo for girls. When you put a young guy through gender swap AI, he always looks better The Y-chromosome debuff is real.
