Can you share a little about your process in getting it, was it covered by your insurance or did you have to pay a lot out of pocket?

So I initially got recommended to the maxillofacial surgeon bc I wanted to get a genioplasty. He quoted me $5000 but also said that I’d get better results if I had double jaw surgery with genio and I wouldn’t need nose job because ‘I already have a good base’

He said he would be able to bill the government bc I have a slight lip incompetence technically making it a ‘needed’ surgery even though I had no real functional issue. So it was covered by the Canadian government after a 1 year wait. Out of pocket would have been $50k with this surgeon. Got lucky bc he has aesthetics and zygo training so he really knows facial balance. I paid legit 0$, but my American friend used the same method I did and he’s getting it covered by insurance even though he has no functional issues.

Thanks! Eventually I will post my whole side profile and front view when there’s less swelling bc interestingly there has been changes in my eyeshape as well.

I’ll probably end up showing in DM or linking my insta though bc last time I posted some before and after I got posted on .org and it ain’t fair to post females stuff if you don’t allow them there.
