Honestly I think it's just cope. If you look perfect in every way you're gonna stand out so hard and be like a fictional character irl
Perfect ratios will make you look uncanny. Average features with high harmony will make you look approachable and trustworthy

The only example I remember being given was this guy on the left I forget his name saying he had "too many striking features" I just think he looks amazing.

interesting theory
every theory has nuance and flexible, but i think this one is good for a commoner
