Optimal sets?

Currently doing 3 sets of 6-8 till failure seems to working alright but is this actually optimal or just cope 😭
I think 1-2 sets is better depends on how strong you are if you're lifting heavy weight lower sets is better because the cns fatigue you get from each set is greater

I've been going to the gym for like 3 months pr bench is 55kg when I started it was 45 so I'll take the improvement😭 still pretty light weight tho because I started doing skinny

1 warm up set with 60% 1RM 12-15 reps and 2 working sets to failure between 6-8 reps is optimal
