(i’m 14) went to ortho asking for rpe or marpe or herbst appliance or twin blocks for my recessed maxilla n chin/mandible, they said i rly didn’t need it and said i could go to double jaw surgeon to ask if i was legible to get surgery when okder and if i did they would most likely say no. wat do i do i also think my bone age is behind

I mean if you can't do anything just try your best to mew, keep good neck posture, and don't mouth breathe.

Visit to multiple orthodontist. I visited 5-6 orthodontist and most of them said I don't need marpe, but eventually one orthodontist recommended me marpe and now I'm wearing my marpe and damon braces. Note- only ask for marpe if you have a narrow palate or trouble in breathing otherwise it's gonna fuck you up

Same thing happened to me at your age unfortunately the ortho is right in most cases regarding orthodontic appliances if they say you don’t need one then you dont need one trust me

i think i have an average palate maybe slightly narrow but my parents prolly wont let me visit multiple ortho so
