bulking doesn’t exist

bulking is almost useless unless ur chasing higher lifting numbers
eating enough protein and carbs will give you almost the exact same muscle gains in a cut then as in a bulk

Clean bulk is best, muscule needs fuel. Not doritos or shit but big protein clean meals
It’s dependent on carb increase (for performance = progress) and protein intake (for actual contractile protein accrual)

Calories is not a dictator of muscle growth unless you just take the piss and starve yourself. In naturals there’s virtually no difference between being 100-200 cal deficit vs 100-200 cal surplus unless the surplus is used to increase carbs pre or post training, even so it is still bad in naturals as they can only utilise so many carbs.

In roided individuals, you would naturally increase your caloric intake if you want to match your daily expenditure, in growth phases (what you call bulking) you would want to push carbs up more and more overtime, every time you plateau you would increase carb intake for a performance boost which wouldn’t actually make you fat since it would be utilised for energy and stored in the muscle (if you actually have a good protocol)

ofc, i know like just because u bulk doesnt mean u will gain more muscle, and yeah theoretically calorie intake is not the dictator of muscle growth, I am only in a slight surplus
