Discussion question about hair volume

My face shape is diamond (I believe), meaning that I look better with not much volume at the sides and lots of volume at the top. My hair is thick and wavy except it loves to add lots of volume to the sides of my hair rather than the top
How can I fix this? Looking for some help here girls : - (

First of all use the products where you actually need them If you want more volume on top, apply your root-lifter or volumizing mousse mainly to the top of your hair while it’s still damp.
Try keeping heavier leave-ins and creams away from the sides, since they can weigh the hair down and make the sides look puffier.

And try drying your hair upside down,when you’re blow drying your hair, especially with a diffuser, flip your head upside down.
Use the airflow on the roots around the crown and top of your head this will help you lift the roots and gives you more volume up top.
