I've seen Ray peat start to rival the popularity of carnivore as of recent. As a former Ray peater myself, I can personally vouch for the diets downsides. Anyone who genuinely wants to looksmaxx should avoid this diet at all costs.

Yes ray peaters genuinely hold the same beliefs as nocturnal Kent, and I wouldn't be suprised at all if that's where he got it from. I'm not here to debate the science of it, but we all know that the only thing that dictates your bone growth is genetics.

MY EXPERIENCE

I started ray peat late last year (note i never consumed processed sugar). I originally loved it, it was incredibly filling and I felt alot more free in my diet, but excess sugar from fruit stresses your body in all the same ways that processed sugar does. I started noticing I'd get pimples, I never got pimples beforehand when I would infrequently consume fruit and fruit juices. It felt harder to stick to my diet because of my increased hunger cues, I stopped doing my 24 hour fasting and was constantly bloated as a result.

Ray peat works by reeling you in with the idea that you can eat slop whenever you want and experience all these benefits. The truth is that ray peat is outdated, and all modern science goes against the peat ideas.

While the science woes you with big words, the science is wrong and outdated. Please look into things yourself before you follow them.

Imo, Ray Peat is just an other guru like Goatis etc.
You should eat what you can tolerate without gaining fat, health, skin, gut, scalp issues

Fruits and honey are good but only if you are active during the day and/or working-out. I never understood the hype of orange juices, especially when you remove the 2nd important part of the fruit (after the vitamins ofc) = fibers to digest it slower

Vegetables ideally needs to be fermented (e.g like brussels, carrots, onions, cauliflowef, cabbage) because the fermentation is gonna occurs in the intestines instead and just make you farts and be bloated lmao.
Why eating them raw when you can naturally triggers a fermentation and creating good bacterias from it.

Omega 3s are important. Eating fish is important and imo, the lack of Iodin and Omega 3s are gonna do more harm than the possible mercury traces found in canned tunas.
FIsh oil can turns rancid indeed, but you can basically put it in fridge or switch to canned sardines

Smoking is also outdated unless you smoke herbs and/or CBD to manage stress, cravings etc. Yeah because modern tobacco is full of PFAS and Tar (they use lit plastic burning to dry the tobacco lmao) and it's the same thing for weed.
Imo you can light a smoking pipe or a cigar time to time but like niche alcohol it should be during social events without overdoing it

Same with Nuts and vegetable oils. I think raw nuts has shown benefits to testes and sperm/testosterone production in animal studies (like kefir) using walnuts, and also oils like olive and coconut.
For seed oils i would be more concerned by the use of Hexane by industries to extract the oil from the seeds, rather than the potential inflammation drawbacks

I started ray peat late last year (note i never consumed processed sugar). I originally loved it, it was incredibly filling and I felt alot more free in my diet, but excess sugar from fruit stresses your body in all the same ways that processed sugar does. I started noticing I'd get pimples, I never got pimples beforehand when I would infrequently consume fruit and fruit juices. It felt harder to stick to my diet because of my increased hunger cues, I stopped doing my 24 hour fasting and was constantly bloated as a result.

Ray peat works by reeling you in with the idea that you can eat slop whenever you want and experience all these benefits. The truth is that ray peat is outdated, and all modern science goes against the peat ideas.

While the science woes you with big words, the science is wrong and outdated. Please look into things yourself before you follow them.

I never said 500g n***a. My claim in that fucking thread is you need adequate carbohydrates. How much would that be? 200-350g depending on weight and activity. Dont include me in this bullshit

I've seen Ray peat start to rival the popularity of carnivore as of recent. As a former Ray peater myself, I can personally vouch for the diets downsides. Anyone who genuinely wants to looksmaxx should avoid this diet at all costs.

fish oil is harmful, u need to eat the whole fish so that the vitamin E can combat the PUFAs and prevent lipid peroxidation
 
For seed oils i would be more concerned by the use of Hexane by industries to extract the oil from the seeds, rather than the potential inflammation drawbacks
