How do you consider failure?
How do you determine success in relation to failure?
What is a good way to learn something?
Why does learning with fear of failure prevent you from learning?

What do memorising and fear of failure have in common?
Why is memorising the wrong way to learn?

What does wisdom mean?

I need at least 20 minutes to think about this

Is failure good or bad?
What is a good measure of “learning”?
idk depends on what yu failed at ig cos some failures you can learn from and some js fuck yu over

and uhh idk learning is just doing some shit differently to last time or js getting better

Why do you think you can’t learn from some failures?

What does it mean to do something differently?

Why do you think you can’t learn from some failures?

What does it mean to do something differently?
if you fail at driving , crash and become paralyzed you cant learn from that because you dont get the chance to do it again

soing sum different just means not the same as last time

How do you consider failure?
if i dont crack a hoe
How do you determine success in relation to failure?
idk i just care about getting what i want
What is a good way to learn something?
ask chat gpt
Why does learning while being afraid of failure not make you learn?
you second guess your self thats why chat gpts good tells me what i need to know
What do memorising and fear of failure have in common?
idk i dont normally rely on just memorizing everything
Why is memorising the wrong way to learn?
becuase you dont remember anything ruiner
What does wisdom mean?
knowing shit niggah

All right, you've reached your limit

failure is the process of reaching success, its not the opposite of it. its not inherently bad it only becomes bad when it stops you from trying. its basically feedback that shows you what doesnt work.
tbh without the contrast of failure success is hollow, the greater your capacity to fail but learn and continue the more meaningful your success becomes. so essentially persistence and growth.
best way to learn is probably active engagement and understanding why something works.
fear narrows your mind. so you play safe and avoid everything just so you dont make mistakes and 'fail' instead of actually taking risks and being curious.
both of them come from pressure. memorising aims to perform correctly and fear of failure is the fear of performing incorrectly. the focus is on the outcome rather than the process.
because you store info without necessarily creating understanding. its shallow.
idk about wisdom, probably the ability to apply knowledge with understanding and compassion. like knowing how and when to use what you know.

holy yapperoni

How do you consider failure?
The inability to achieve a certain purpose
How do you determine success in relation to failure?
if i achieved the purpose it’s success
What is a good way to learn something?
practice
Why does learning with fear of failure prevent you from learning?
cortisol and adrenaline and not deep understanding the topic.
What do memorising and fear of failure have in common?
Both dismiss deep learning and rely on short term memory
Why is memorising the wrong way to learn?
already said why
What does wisdom mean?
Being knowledgeable enough ? Idk

Good reply

I don't like to use the word “best” in these cases

Yeah

idk about wisdom, probably the ability to apply knowledge with understanding and compassion. like knowing how and when to use what you know
yes, except compassion

Wisdom is quite related to what you said before, because it’s the ability to extrapolate information from observations and is based on experience and knowledge
Knowledge comes from analysing failures

The inability to achieve a certain purpose
Yeah but I asked how

Yes of course, and you can improve your learning if you improve the quality of your experience
cortisol and adrenaline and not deep understanding the topic.
fear can be triggered by many things

This is a good answer

Being knowledgeable enough ? Idk
It’s the ability to use your experience and knowledge by translating the limited observations you have of a context/situation into potential actions

Experience and knowledge are not related to success, not really
If you think wisdom is closely related to success you don't know what wisdom means

rather be dumb than think better life when you dont question everything
You have the opportunity to interact with me and other users because someone asked questions that led to other questions

Good reply
first nice thing anyone’s said on org ❤️‍🩹

couldn’t think of a synonym or replacement mb
yes, except compassion
not compassion? why not.

Knowledge comes from analysing failures
yes
id just add that experience itself is usually built on failures since they force us to analyse and refine our understanding. so in a way wisdom is the ability to turn failures into insights

i do interact with people just not used to thinking
the fork, the oven, most of the things you have at your disposal on a daily basis have one thing in common: intuition and (extremely intelligent) people who have asked themselves some questions

ye sure still im not used to thinking bad habits bad parenting

not compassion? why not
Its action-ability doesn’t require compassion

That’s part of a feeling process adopted by most people
"He/she gave me sound advice, that means he/she is reasonably *insert random quality*

you’re right in the sense that wisdom doesn’t require it for raw functionality like someone can get accurate conclusions and act without it. but it risks wisdom becoming amoral.
id argue its not just a feeling process but more like a moderating principle. it makes it more humane.

Better not to mix the two

agree to disagree
You are making the same “mistake”

nothing human in mixing emotions and properties

It’s how most people function, if you want to attribute a quality to that you will struggle to abstract trickier concepts

How do you consider failure?
the relation between a result of an attempt and a goal, where the result doesn't meet the goal
How do you determine success in relation to failure?
same as above, but the result meets the goal
What is a good way to learn something?
craft/physical skill - repetition with the intent to improve
information - receiving input (reading, listening) repeatedly (better to read different presentations of the info, like a lecture + book chapter + notes + companion), picking out the important pieces of info and how they relate to each other as you think about the input, categorizing the facts and building relations between the categories so they form a coherent body of knowledge (you can do this by crafting a narrative or a bullet point-subpoint list)
new concepts - rereading the explanations and trying to apply them yourself, finding analogies for them
Why does learning with fear of failure prevent you from learning?
not sure it does, but it might be from anxiety and inability to focus
What do memorising and fear of failure have in common?
nothing apart from being mental processes
Why is memorising the wrong way to learn?
memorizing is wrong when you need to understand new concepts, but its fine if you need to have a large amount of information at hand
that's because memorizing the explanation of a new concept doesn't help you understand it

of course you also need to think about the material so you're not memorizing something obviously irrelevant, like all the examples an author gives to help you understand something

What does wisdom mean?
having a seemingly coherent answer about a topic which perplexes most people and is uncertain
