I don't know how people with dreadlocks are able to hold jobs to sustain themselves. In most corporate companies hair like that or the one OP has are unacceptable. There was this guy I knew who used to have locks and his college instructor straight up told him he will not be hired with that hair style so he had to get a buzzcut and he hasn't grown out his hair since.

That guy used to get asked if he sells well all the time too. . People instantly associate hair like that with gangsta urban stereotypes of crime, drugs, poor hygiene, and unprofessionalism. If you want to make a good impression you either had to straighten your hair/wear a wig (women) or shave your heads (men). You basically have to look white washed and conform to their standards because employers don't care about your Rastafarian culture or black pride month
