Alright my lips and face have shriveled up like a prune due to atopic dermatitis and I have had enough, im getting my hands on

1. Hylauronic acid
2. Vegetable glycerin
3. Volufiline (for my lips to compensate for chronic dryness, heard mixed reviews but im down to try)
4. Hydroquinone (for hyperpigmentation)
5. DMSO (gotta be careful af with this, use gloves when applying etc and never mix with lotions where you dont know 1 of the ingredients)

Morning routine:
1. General skin prep
2. Glycerin + HA
3. Foundation with spf50

Nighttime routine
1. General skin prep
2. DMSO + volufiline + hydroquinone
3. Glycerin (skip the HA)

Hmm what cleanser do you use? For your dermatitis, diet is basically going to clear 90% of it from experience. Also no moisturiser with hydroquinone is a bad idea especially with the excema. Why are you using DSMO? I can’t find anything about it on the internet. Stay away from foundation while your skin clears up. You can also mix the glycerin with a moisturiser ☺️

i have childhood eczema its just an immune issue, bad diet makes it worse exponentially but a good diet doesnt clear it up, it will get worse without constant maintenance
its 2% hydroquinone, not pure
DMSO is largely researched for its ability to increase absorption of topical ointments
unfortunately i can't just pick out a moisturizer, any unknown ingredient that im not aware of/the company doesnt list might react badly, its why im opting for generally 1-2 ingredient only solutions (like HA and glycerin). i also will have to be careful about the HQ and make sure the ointment doesnt have shit that would make me flare up

my cleanser is deadass some coconut oil and then washing it off with the lightest soap i have and drying off the oil i didnt get to via towel, if i try to scrub off all the oil with soap my skin will get fucked

Ahhh I see. I recommend an anti inflammatory diet, I also have childhood excema and the animal based diet really helped me. Meat + Fruit, give it try. I would say deal with the excema first before treating the hyperpigmentation. Okay I get the moisturiser part, do you take anti himastines, that'll also help!

What if you just didn't use a cleanser and only use water while your skin heals

My diet is perfect and I still had eczema on my hands during the winter

yeah when it was super bad it was just water only, but i feel too grimy doing that on most days. so oil + gentle soap + remove rest of oil with towel

too paranoid about using antihistamines because it feels like it just suppresses the symptoms without addressing the cause

and yeah alcohol makes it SOO bad im glad i dont drink that much, my doctor said no alcohol and no spicy food, i mainly eat cheap meat (pork sausage) and cheap veg (onions, potatoes, sometimes cucumbers) and lactose free milk. i do buy eggs too but i hate eggs, best i can do is swallow them raw

The antihimastines will stop the inflammation which makes the excema worse - use it. What about steroids, do you use any? Yeah you do want to fix up the diet. It might be expensive but the best thing you can do for your health is a good diet, it'll be an investment!

absolutely never using steroid cream again i used it when i literally had half my face like lizard scales but i got dependent on it for a good year until i was able to do some intense naturopathy, i dont want to take it again bc of the potential skin thinning side effect (with how frquently i had to use it this was becoming a likely possibility)

this is the best i can do with my diet atm is what im doing lmaooooooo ik it sounds ass but i can only handle 3-4 food items in my diet at any given time, anything more complicated than that is too much for me
