Is starving really effective
Short term. Ur body adjust and u plataue. Then when u do decide to eat u put a shit tonne of weight back quick

starving or fasting might work to drop weight but it’s not worthy at all. at the beginning you might loose a lot of weight (which is mostly water weight), but after a long period of heavy restriction/fasting your body will enter in a “survival mode” and slow down your metabolism to conserve energy… so even if u lose weight, if u start to eat “normally” again it will be easier to gain weight. furthermore it gives strong and dark eye bags and induces hair loss… balanced diet and exercise is always better

You lose body fat but it's stupid. There are too many negative repercussions, and the only reason people do it is because they are impatient and lazy (yes, it's easier to starve than prepare proper meals.)
 
literally same. the lowest in my life, so miserable and even if ur thin u look like ur rotting
exactly and i was going bald and being mean no point to it

if you do it in a smart way it can be very very effective. i personally do OMAD with a focus on protein and fiber. if you're starving yourself of calories AND essential nutrients, you'll rot. i also do harm reduction measures like taking biotin, iron, calcium, thiamine, B12, and vitamin c supplements.

to lose weight quickly yeah, but with that weight comes losing muscle mass rather than just fat loss - also starving can lead to binges which just creates a really rough cycle that won’t get you anywhere. maintaining a healthy diet in a normal deficit of calories while also exercising regularly will get you better results. might be slower, but much more satisfactory
