A part of me wants to make just enough money to live a good life passively and then essentially just retire. The other part of me wants to make as much money as possible. I don't know what I'd do with the extra money though as past a certain point it doesn't increase your quality of life much and the grinding feels pointless. A part of me only wants to retire because I'm afraid that I'll never be able to make as much money as other successful people my age or my parents so if I just give up by retiring then I won't feel ashamed. I feel like I'm suppressing my ego because I'm afraid I'll never be able to live up to the standards I set for myself. Sometimes I also wonder whether my desires are my own, or whether they were implanted in me by my parents and social media. would like to hear the forums thoughts :/
I know I'm capable of achieving great things, but the results I want feel impossible, which is why I just want to give up and not try at all.

I think that fear is what causes me to question the point of money because then it doesn't feel like I'm quitting due to fear, it feels like I'm just retiring to live my life.

rant 2 over
