Why do teachers try to get into students personal life by being all up on them or giving out way to much work that gives 0 time for anything else. My English teacher gives so much unecessary work and pressure us for it like I literally used to skip track practice just to do her work.

Teachers are taught to do that. If you think about it, teachers are exactly like babysitters, paid to oversee a bunch of kids so that they don't misbehave. The "learning them things" is just an excuse. Education doesn't become relevant until you enter college, anyway.

I'm kinda scared to talk to my teachers or adults in general. I don't know how I'm supposed to talk to them in person asking for an advanced time in work due to track meets, I don't even turn to look at them
