Straight teeth and semi-white or pure white are deemed the 'default' trait - so it won't 'add' onto your overall appearance, but it's distracting if you have bad teeth. There's a reason why in a lot of portrayals of an ugly person, their teeth are almost always pretty fucked up.

It depends where you live, though. In America, teeth and your smile are deemed very important - especially counting most treatments are done at a younger age, if you're older (an adult) and don't have it 'corrected', then you're associated with a lower class (even if it's not true) or behind / delayed compared to your peers.

If you're already high up on the scale in regards of appearance, your teeth being slightly fucked up probably won't effect it dramatically, but having very noticeably fucked up teeth will always knock you down the scale. Having a few misaligned teeth is not deemed the same as having fucked up teeth.

lowkey teeth is one of the first things u notice in a person when they're talking, if they're not crooked / relatively white, it's ok, but if they're yellow or crooked it takes a lot away
 
Like if you have good teeth it wont add anything if you have bad teeth itll take away SO MUCH, i have fucked up teeth and have been asked before a bunch of times whats wrong with them, teeth are not cope
