From a game theory and Nash equilibrium perspective, Red is the dominant, rational choice. If you push Red, you guarantee your own survival, and your single vote will not realistically tip a global scale of billions of people. Red button pushers argue that pressing Blue is essentially group suicide, as you are unnecessarily gambling your life on the hope that billions of strangers will make a highly moral or unselfish choice.

Blue button pushers argue that humanity has a moral obligation to attempt to save everyone, or that enough people (including children and those who make mistakes) will inevitably pick Blue. Proponents argue that if everyone acted purely in their own self-interest, society would collapse. By choosing Blue, you absorb personal risk to ensure the collective survival of society and loved ones who might also choose Blue.

Red simply because i know people care about themselves more than anything if this world was less cruel I’d think about pressing the blue button but sadly i’d just be guaranteeing my own death.

It's red & not even close. I've seen too many polls with thousands of results to deduce red is the default, plus if everyone presses red, everyone lives anyways. Only the mentally incompetent & overly-optimistic will die, so it's up from there

The way I see it, assuming there’s a 50/50 that any individual chooses red or blue (it prob isn’t 50/50 but I think it’s a fair assumption), people who choose blue are willing to accept 50/50 odds of survival, if it means there’s a possibility that everyone survives. People who choose red though, in exchange for their 100% survival odds, have to come to terms with the possibility that a shit ton of blue choosers could die.
