Okay so lets take two people, a bodybuilder and a mma fighter/boxer. Now their weight will be the same, their body fat percentage the same, same amount of LBM. But one looks stringy and lean while one looks pumped rounder and just overall looks like they weigh much more than they do. Now what exactly is the cause for this you may ask?. One word or actually two my bad okay my bad 4 words , myofibrillar hypertrophy vs sarcomaplasmic hypertrophy. myofibrillar hypertrophy is basically the growth of the actual contractile tissue (myosin and something else i forgot search it up im too lazy to do allat) and okay wait i remembered its actin anyway so sarcoplasmic hypertrophy is basically the fluid glycogen stores and shit that ppacks into the muscle. think of it like a suitcase, now with myofibrillar you pack the suitcase with as much as you can until you can barely close it, making it very very dense but with sarcoplasmic you just take a big ass suitcase and stuff some clothes in so most of it is just empty space (glycogen and mitochondria and shit).

This can explain how a person whos a heavy weight seems so skinny
And how a relatively lighter person looks big and pumped

Myofibrillar Hypertrophy - 3-6 Reps of 80-100 percent of 1RM
Sarcoplasmic Hypertrohy - like 12-15 reps of 60 percent 1RM

wait, so ur sayin, when you do more reps yu dont buil as much moosceles but u get stronger, but if u do less of moar, u get biger?!? WOAH

No when you do 12-15 reps you become bigger and 3-8 doesn’t result in muscle gain but it leads to strength and comparably more muscle fibers

Proportions, lighting, angles, muscle density genetics (clavicle width), different training styles which may lead to more prioritized areas over neglected ones
