Its case by case, and if you’re getting genio anyway you might as well get split(assuming you need width) , also on average less noticeable

i wouldn’t go for widening anyways tbh i think it’d make me look even less dimorphic

but if i wanted to implants are more specialized in shaping imo

all u needed was 20-50k usd very invasive surgery with basic recovery of 2-3 months

it’s a maxillofacial surgeon anyways, if i’m a good candidate with possible insurance coverage we’ll see about that bc im gonna inquire about jaw surgery. but otherwise unforetunately ill settle for ascending to like mtb with a few smaller surgeries that i’ll actually b able to afford

even if i were to fly out (which i’d rather stay in the us for a jaw surgery, that or somewhere like italy) it’s still a matter of time n recovery. i’m not completely opposed to it and it depends what a few maxillofacials say after i’ve consulted w more, but overall it’s somewhat infeasible at this point in my life to have that amount of time off (+likely possibility of needing braces before and after.) i want to look better soon as possible and cope combo of rhino + genio + undereye fat transfer would get me there less riskily and a lot quicker

i’ve looked into the procedures themselves but this will be my first consult with an omfs, before this i’ve only had one with a plastic surgeon (who recommended a chin implant and some procedures for other concerns i brought up as well.) ik bimax is ideal but that’s a big commitment and im not gonna push for it unless a maxillofacial surgeon says to go for it over just a genioplasty
