For front pics Lights off flash on back camera. Put the camera arount eye level or lil higher and a fair distance away from ur face

learn your angles and how to frame your face. i think snapchat has a built in filter lowkey, so i use it for selfies.
higher angle - look between eyebrows or upper corners of frame
eye level-ish - look at hairline
lower angle - look at nose
webcam pics as mirror selfies are also very in right now
for traditional mirror selfies:
if your phone is at shoulder level-ish, i like to turn on my flash and have it in at the right column in the center (helpful to have grids on in your camera)
if you want a higher angle, then i like to put in in the top right corner
selfie mode with the wide angle in the lower left is also something i like to do

i also like to force my friends to take photos of me, so there's that too. also, at the end of the day, if you're posting it to like your story or something u can cover ur face with a sticker/emoji/song. thats what i do when the rest of it looks good apart from my face + slapping a low res filter onto it
