I get where you're coming from. I think it has less to do with seeking fame but rather making sure the community is a good place and having an active role in that. Although a toxic place as .org can hardly be betrayed, it betrays itself (mirin my philosophymaxxing?)

Of course, for some (a few) this is the case, but I more than suspect that for many others it's a matter of notoriety.
